The Upper Iowa Advantage

Flexibility
Residential Campus, Online, Independent Study, 15 U.S. Center locations [offering evening and some weekend classes], and International Centers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia

Military-Friendly
Member of Post 9/11 GI Bill’s Yellow Ribbon Program and works closely with Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges, GoArmyEd, the Navy College Program Distance Learning Program, the Army National Guard Education Support Program, the Coast Guard Institute, and the Air Force AU ABC program. UIU offers credit for military training, military spouse scholarship opportunities, and tuition discounts for the Total Military Family.
Athletics
The only NCAA Division II Athletic Program in Iowa and member of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC)

Accreditation and Certification
Upper Iowa University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org) and is certified by the Louisiana Higher Education Board, the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board, and the Iowa Department of Education (for teacher education in Iowa only). The programs offered are approved by the states of Iowa, Kansas (restricted), Louisiana, and Wisconsin for veterans’ benefits.
