Accounts Payable Coordinator (posted 9-1-10)
Upper Iowa University invites applications for an Accounts Payable Coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of accounts payable and purchasing, including processing checks, issuing purchase orders and processing year-end 1099 forms. Applicants must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be able to manage multiple tasks, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. Malaysia Program Center Director (posted 8-17-10)
Upper Iowa University, a private, not-for-profit university providing educational excellence and leadership development to over 6,600 students – both nationally and internationally is conducting a search for a dynamic Malaysia Program Director to provide strong leadership in all aspects of managing and growing the international programs operation in Malaysia.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a culturally diverse and collaborative environment. Familiarity with international education in Asia as well as experience teaching or living overseas is preferred. Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit, well developed marketing skills and a commitment to building strong relationships with faculty and students are also desired. Experience managing an educational facility in an international environment and knowledge of the Malaysian educational and governmental environment is highly desirable. Successful candidate must have proficiency in Bahasa Malay and must be willing to be stationed in Malaysia with occasion travel to the United States. Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred, and at least two years of successful program management is preferred.

Admissions Counselor (posted 8-4-10)
The Admissions Office at Upper Iowa University, Fayette Campus currently has two full-time Admissions Counselor position open.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a recruitment territory, and will communicate effectively with prospective students and their families in order to recruit students to the University’s residential campus in Fayette, Iowa. Well-qualified candidates must be willing to travel extensively, work evenings and weekends, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, be flexible and exhibit a sense of humor. In addition, candidates should have an understanding of the benefits of a private, liberal arts university experience; and should be able to communicate those benefits clearly in both verbal and written forms. This position will oversee UIU’s presence on social media and networking sites, and well-qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of such technology.
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position, with a Master’s degree preferred. Recent work experience in a university admissions office is preferred, but consideration will be given to applicants who have extensive customer service, sales, or other comparable experience.

Assistant Professor of Business Administration and MBA Coordinator

This is a 12 month, full-time, tenure-track, faculty position with 50% release time for administration. The academic rank is assistant professor. The incumbent will teach five class sections per year (online, face to face, hybrid), oversee the academic quality of the program, advise and assist MBA graduate students, and promote the enrollment growth of the program. Earned doctorate (Ph.D or D.B.A.) from a regionally accredited university in a business field (ABD considered if completion of doctorate is expected within twelve months of hiring date).
