During breaks the Library hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed weekends).
Library Services Provided:
- Answers to ready reference questions are easily located in encyclopedias, almanacs, directories, dictionaries, etc.
- A collection of new popular fiction and non-fiction books for leisure reading, (McNaughton Collection), is available.
- Seven area and four national newspapers keep you abreast of current events.
- The library houses a federal government documents depository providing free access to government publications.
- Access to 289 current periodical subscriptions owned by the library, with total of 824 periodical titles. Additional titles are full text on Infotrac.
- Through interlibrary loan, the Library provides access to any published material circulated throughout the United States.
- Through the Iowa Open Access Program, students can use their library cards and borrow materials from other participating libraries.
- A-V equipment needed for class presentations can be booked through the circulation desk.
- Three Instructional Labs housing 70 IBM compatible computers
- Laminating services every Thursday. The laminate is 25" wide; the cost is $.08/running inch. Please drop materials off at the circulation desk by 12:00 noon on Thursday.
- Transparencies can be made for you by the library staff. Film is $.35/sheet and $.05 to copy.
- The Education Curriculum Lab contains K-12 textbooks, tests, and resource materials for use by education majors.
- A select collection of telephone directories is located at the circulation desk.
