Thank you for wanting to support Upper Iowa University and our mission of providing quality student-centered educational programs across multiple delivery systems. There are many ways that you can help strengthen and grow Upper Iowa for the future. We are extremely grateful for whatever gift you can give. Please consider giving to one of the following current priorities:
Scholarships
Your gifts make it possible for Upper Iowa to continue to support students by providing generous scholarships that result in our students graduating with less debt, on average, than their peers from other Iowa colleges and universities. Gifts to Team Peacock and the Peacock Walk Scholarship funds provide general scholarship assistance. These scholarships are awarded to deserving UIU students.
Perhaps you’re interested in honoring or memorializing a family member or a beloved professor or mentor by establishing a scholarship in his or her name. These funds, called endowed scholarships can be established with a minimum of $20,000. Please contact the Advancement and Alumni Office at Alumni@uiu.edu or 563-425-5235 for more information.
Building Campaign
Upper Iowa University has begun a $75 million dollar construction project at the Fayette Campus – the largest in University history. The first phase of the two-part project is under-way -- construction of a state-of-the-art Liberal Arts building, suite-style residence hall, and a student center. Phase II will begin in 2011. Your gift can help the Fayette campus become a premiere educational facility.
Upper Iowa Business Development (UIBD)
Upper Iowa University is committed to helping the city of Fayette grow and prosper. UIBD is an endowed project supported by private, state and federal individuals and organization. Although the initiative is in its early stages, downtown Fayette has already seen construction of some new business. Your gift will benefit both Upper Iowa and its home community.
Peacock Club
A gift to the Peacock Club will help the UIU Athletic Department meet its goals and support athletic programs.
Baseball Stadium Fundraiser
Upper Iowa University has announced plans to build a facility at Robertson Woods Field that will serve present and future baseball players as well as become a monument to the history of Upper Iowa baseball. Your gift will help sustain the legacy.
Peacock Mat Club
By joining the Peacock Mat Club, you can help our Peacock wrestlers meet their academic and athletic goals.
Team Peacock 2010
This is the sixth year that riders representing Upper Iowa are participating in RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) to generate funds for UIU scholarships. The team and support crew is comprised of volunteers from students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends. These scholarships support students from Fayette as well as from our educational centers. You can designate your gift for a specific rider or for student scholarships at Fayette or the centers. In 2010, Team Peacock is working to reach the $500,000 mark in total dollars raised for student scholarships since the team’s inception six years ago.
Peacock Walk Scholarships
Your gift can leave a lasting mark on the Fayette campus. Whether a graduating senior, alumni, friend or family member – you can be recognized with an inscribed brick placed on the Fayette Campus. The bricks are an enduring testament of your love and support for Upper Iowa while supporting future students on their academic journey. Leave your legacy for $100 by helping to pave the Peacock Walk.
