Upper Iowa University prides itself on striving to provide a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, staff and visitors. We understand that it is important for everyone to be aware of the procedures we have in place so that we can respond in an efficient and safe manner.
The University has a Critical Incident Plan that outlines specific actions to take in the time of an emergency. Key University personnel engage in an annual emergency response exercise.
Emergency response plans are activated by the University Management Team who will call upon appropriate resources and take specific action to respond and communicate with the community.
