Study at an International Location – Degree-seeking students
Complete and submit an International Application for Admission to the international campus office at your location.
Arrange to have an official transcript of your high school record, through the latest completed semester, sent directly to the international campus office. If you are a college transfer student also, arrange to have official transcripts of academic work from each college attended sent.
If our college transfer work is not listed on a transcript, is not in English or does not denote the unit of credit as semester hour, you must send your transfer work academic transcripts to an approved foreign credential evaluation service for processing, the expense of the evaluation will be the student's.
Arrange to have the results of your Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or Computerized English Language Placement Test (CLEPT) exam sent directly to your international campus office.
UIU will notify each applicant of the admission decision in writing following receipt of the completed admission file including application and official transcripts.

Study at an International Location– Nondegree-seeking (transient) students
Students working toward a degree at another college may enroll for up to 15 semester hours at Upper Iowa University as transient students, upon presentation of authorization from the dean or registrar of their institution indicating approval of the specific courses to be taken. The proper form to use for such authorization is available from the Registrar's Office.
An admission committee reviews each application. Students accepted are those whose abilities, academic preparation, interests and personal qualities offer promise of success at Upper Iowa. Academic performance, test scores and recommendations are important. Also strongly considered are qualities such as an individual's character, participation in extracurricular activities and leadership qualities.
