The Alexandria Center of Upper Iowa University was established in 2006, relocating from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. The center is located in the Learning Center for Rapides Parish and is part of a consortium of eleven colleges and universities to provide for the educational goals and career development of the citizens of Central Louisiana. The center offers Bachelor of Science degrees in seven majors and three minors on site. Additionally, it can offer courses that when blended with our distance learning programs can lead to a degree in twelve other majors. There are six 8-week terms offered each academic year. All classes are offered at the LCRP in the evenings to minimize disruption to working adult learners.
Please see the current Course Schedule. The class schedule is relatively flexible to meet student needs. Classes meet on weekday evenings. More specific information will be published prior to each term.
