Huisman and Montgomery named NSIC Women's Tennis Player of the Sophomore Kelsey MontgomeryWeek Sophomore Kasey Huisman

Sophomores Kasey Huisman of Applington, Iowa and Kelsey Montgomery from Stewartville, Minn. have both been named NSIC Women's Tennis Player of the Week since the start of the season.

WRESTLING

Head Wrestling Coach Heath Grimm was elected NSIC Coach of the Year. 

Grimm led Upper Iowa to their second NSIC Championship as the Peacocks finished the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) regular season undefeated at 4-0 in conference duals. The Peacocks finished third as a team at the North Regional Championships and fourteenth at the National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, March 14 and 15, hosted by UIU.

Eggers was named the 2007-08 NSIC Wrestler of the Year

Sophomore Travis Eggers, a Monona, Iowa native, was named the 2007-08 NSIC Wrestler of the Year as voted upon by the league coaches. Eggers finished the season with a team-high 30 wins in forty matches and a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, gaining him All-American status. The red-shirt sophomore was the NSIC's highest place winner at the National Tournament.  

Seven Peacock wrestlers were awarded seven of the ten All-Conference spots

Seven Peacock wrestlers were awarded seven of the ten All-Conference spots, Tyler Mumbulo, Jacob Pedersen, Monterrius "Tee" Adams, Travis Eggers, Mitch Norton, Matt Norton, and Dan Goodson.  Eggers and Mumbulo earned All-American honors with a fourth and sixth place finish, respectively.
