» UIU student featured on PBS Special

          B. J. Jackson is a part-time student at the UIU-DesMoines center, working toward a degree in Business Administration.

Jackson, who lost both legs in an explosion while serving in Iraq, is also busy these days educating the public about wounded soldiers and how their lives and the lives of their families are affected when they return home.

The following articles discuss his upcoming PBS Special: "Coming Home: Military Families Cope with Change" that will air on IPTV April 1 at 7 p.m. and again on April 5 at 6:30 p.m. There are also plans to have Jackson appear on "Sesame Street."

Jackson recently hosted a free screening of the 30-minute program on March 25 at Camp Dodge.
