 Dear friends,

International education is more important today than any time in human history. With the advent of the Internet, the world is at our fingertips. I am routinely reminded of this each day when I correspond with students and education partners all across the globe. In a world plagued by the lack of cultural understanding, we are faced with the great responsibility of facilitating the free exchange of ideas. Upper Iowa University is a higher education institution dedicated to that calling and it is evident in our vision to prepare all students to be “global citizens”.

Upper Iowa University (UIU) is proud to have three international campuses located in the Pacific Rim. UIU offers undergraduate programs in business, communication and psychology to learners in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Through our on-site faculty, faculty exchange and visiting lecturers, UIU offers a program with a high level of academic rigor and quality. UIU also offers a full on-line MBA program targeted at international learners across Asia. Currently UIU has over 600 learners in our international venues and programs.

Upper Iowa University (UIU) is in the initial stages of forming a robust international recruitment plan for our principle campus in Fayette, Iowa and the domestic centers across the United States. International student numbers will continue to grow under the leadership of International Programs and the Office of Admissions. With a full team of F-1 and J-1 specialist, the Office of International Programs will continue to work within all DOS/ DHS immigration parameters. UIU is also diligently developing study abroad options for students during the summer and intercessory terms. Programs are being developed as faculty led as well as consortium program options.
