Upper Iowa University is one of first private colleges in Iowa to have a specialty license plate valid for passenger cars, trucks, truck/tractors, trailers and travel trailers. 

 So, if you …

• Want to proudly display the fact that you currently attend or have graduated from UIU
• Have to be the first to own something (especially a UIU Peacocks license plate)

Private College & University Plates

• The fees are $25 for numbered plates and $50 for personalized plates, with a $5 annual validation fee. 
• Applications must be submitted to the Office of Vehicle Services.
• Your completed plates will be sent to the appropriate County Treasurer’s office.
