Upper Iowa University opened its Baton Rouge Center on July 1, 2012. The center is located on the Louisiana State Police Training Academy Campus (Bldg C) and is available to anyone seeking to obtain a college degree. There are six eight-week terms offered each academic year, with all classes taught at the Louisiana State Police Training Academy (Bldg A) in the evenings to minimize disruption to working adult learners. Our liberal transfer policy will maximize your previous credit from other colleges and universities, and for civilian and military experience. Upper Iowa has articulation agreements with Baton Rouge, Bossier Parish, Delgado, Nunez, River Parishes and LSU-E to assist transfer students. We have also partnered with the Fraternal Order of Police and the Louisiana State Troopers Association to provide quality education to law enforcement officers. Watch the Bulletin Board on this page for local postings.
You can get information on any of the following majors from the UIU-Baton Rouge Center. Some are available at the center, others are available as online courses. Many students blend their degree plan, by taking some face-to-face courses and some online courses. All UIU courses count toward completing your degree. Please note the list of majors may change. Check with the center staff or your advisor.
