The Upper Iowa Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS, offers classes on post to both military personnel and civilians in the area. It was opened in 1997 and offers bachelor’s of science degree in eight majors. Courses can also be blended with UIU distance learning programs (online and independent study) to complete 12 other majors. Certificate programs are also available. UIU offers evening courses on post during six eight-week terms during the academic year. Upper Iowa has been recognized by Military Advanced Education and by GI Jobs as one of the nation’s top military-friendly universities. Watch the Bulletin Board on this page for local postings.

Certificate programs are available in Organizational Leadership on post. Students can also combine distance learning courses to earn certificates in Human Resources Management, Marketing, and Organizational Communications.
Although the annual course schedule may be subject to change, currently the 2012-13 academic year includes the following terms:

Please see the Current Class Schedule. The class schedule is relatively flexible to meet student needs. Classes normally meet twice a week, Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday in the evenings, as well as Saturday during the day.
