"I really appreciate being able to attend a college where the teachers are sincere, the classes provide personal attention to the students, and the people on staff all have a great attitude." Isaac Hayman
The Upper Iowa Center at Fort Riley, KS, offers classes on post to both military personnel and civilians in the area. It was opened in 1992 and offers bachelor’s of science degrees in 11 majors. Courses can also be blended with UIU distance learning programs (online and self-paced) to complete nine other majors. Certificate programs are also available. UIU offers courses on post during six eight-week terms during the academic year. All courses are offered during the evenings. Upper Iowa has been recognized by Military Advanced Education and by GI Jobs as one of the nation’s top military-friendly universities. Watch the Bulletin Board on this page for local postings.
You can get information on any of the following majors from the UIU-Fort Riley Center. Some are available at the center and others are available as online courses. Many students blend their degree plan, by taking some face-to-face courses and some online courses. Check with your Academic Advisor for more details about any of these programs.
Please see the Current Class Schedule and Booklist. The class schedule is relatively flexible to meet student needs. Classes normally meet twice a week, Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday in the evenings.
