Director of Nursing Education
Margaret Wimmer Johnson, RN, DNS

We are seeing clear evidence from research that more educated nurses result in better outcomes for patients.1  Here at Upper Iowa University, we want to help RNs obtain the additional education they want and need to function in the health care environments of today.

We want that education to be student-centered, active learning with students as participants in the learning process.  The program is designed to be flexible to prepare nurses for leadership at the bedside or in management and to maintain the high quality training offered at Upper Iowa University since 1857.  We hope you’ll join us and let us help you reach your goals in nursing.
