Message from Director of Nursing Education
Director of Nursing Education
Sheryl Juve, RN, Ed.D.
We are seeing clear evidence from research that more educated nurses result in better outcomes for patients.1 Here at Upper Iowa University, we want to help RNs obtain the additional education they want and need to function in the health care environments of today.
At UIU, the student's education is student-centered and engages students as active participants in the learning process. The program is designed to be flexible to prepare nurses for leadership at the bedside or in management, to lay the foundation for graduate education if desired and to maintain the high quality training offered at Upper Iowa University since 1857. We hope you’ll join us and let us help you reach your goals in nursing.
Sheryl Juve, RN, Ed.D.
Associate Professor and Interim Director of Nursing Education
