5K and 1-mile fun run to take off at Upper Iowa University
FAYETTE, Iowa (January 27, 2011) — Upper Iowa University will sponsor a 5K Run/Walk and a one-mile Fun Run/Walk over April Fools’ Day weekend.
Both events are scheduled to begin at the UIU Rec Center on Saturday, April 2, with the one-mile fun run/walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K event beginning at 10 a.m. The top three men and women to finish in the 5K event will receive medals.
Cost of either event is $15 and includes the entry fee, a t-shirt and race packet. The fee is reduced to $10 for registrations received by March 19. Registration concludes at 9:15 a.m. on race day in “race central” in the Rec Center gymnasium.
