Upper Iowa University to Reinstate Peacock Women's Cross Country
FAYETTE, Iowa (Mar. 14, 2012) – Upper Iowa University will reinstate the Peacock Women's Cross Country program, effective with the 2013-14 academic year. The decision was announced March 14 by UIU President Alan G. Walker and Director of Athletics David S. Miller.
"Women's cross country has a strong, positive history at Upper Iowa University; and we are pleased to bring it back as an option," Walker said. "The caliber of student-athletes who compete in cross country will be an asset for our university, and we look forward to these young women becoming UIU leaders inside and outside of the classroom."
