Upper Iowa University Homecoming 2013 King and Queen were crowned Saturday on the Fayette campus. They are Sarah Dec of Norridge, Ill., and Jake Bass of Perris, Calif.
FAYETTE, Iowa (October 14, 2013) – Upper Iowa University celebrated Homecoming October 6-12, which included the traditional crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen and selection of the Homecoming parade winners.
Homecoming 2013 royalty are Queen Sarah Dec and King Jake Bass. Dec is a senior majoring in exercise science and the daughter of Molly and Ted Dec of Norridge, Ill. Bass is a senior majoring in elementary education and the son and Jacquie and Sam Bass of Perris, Calif.
Theme for the UIU Homecoming was "Peacock Dynasty: Celebrating Traditions." Parade winners in the community category were first place, Dennis Heth, Class of 1965; second place, Rainbow Land; and third place, Fayette Lion's Club. Winners in the club/organization category were first place, UIU Global Marketing; second place, UIU Women's Basketball; and third place, Zeta Kappa Psi.
