FAYETTE, Iowa (September 30, 2013) – Employees of North Central Health Care will reap the benefits of a new tuition discount program with Upper Iowa University. The discounts also apply to employees' spouses and dependent children up to age 26.

North Central Health Care is a public organization that employs over 850 Wisconsin residents, offers mental health, addiction, skilled nursing, developmental disability, water therapy and adult protective services through a variety of adaptable and customized programs. The agency serves Langlade, Lincoln and Marathon counties with the main campus in Wausau and other sites located in Merrill and Antigo. North Central Health Care also operates Mount View Care center, a 263- bed skilled nursing facility in Wausau offering skilled nursing care for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, ventilator dependent care, and specialized dementia care. As part of the UIU Corporate Advantage Program, NCHC employees will receive set tuition discounts for courses taken at any of Upper Iowa's 19 U.S. educational centers, or through UIU online or self-paced programs. UIU offers 18 majors and three master's degrees through those programs. The tuition discount can range from 10 to 20 percent depending on the total annual number of NCHC employees, spouses and dependent children taking courses through Upper Iowa University. UIU also will waive registration fees for NCHC employees.
