FAYETTE, Iowa (May 16, 2014) – The summer exhibitions at Upper Iowa University's Bing-Davis Gallery in the Edgar Fine Arts Hall showcase talent, creativity and new perspectives. "Superior Weekend," a photography exhibition by Jay Raabe, and "Landscape: Upper Iowa University Throughout the Ages," curated by John Siblik, dean of the School of Liberal Arts, will star back-to-back in two striking expositions:
- Superior Weekend by Jay Raabe – May 15-July 4
- Landscape: Upper Iowa University Throughout the Ages, curated by John Siblik – July 7-August 22
"We are very excited to showcase these two extremely thought-provoking exhibitions at Bing-Davis Gallery," said Elissa Wenthe, assistant professor of art and director of the gallery. "Works in both shows capture a lot of feelings and emotions, while also displaying talent in unique ways."
Superior Weekend is a photography exhibition, while Landscape is a survey of the UIU campus in paintings depicting the history and transformation of the beautiful campus since 1857.
The Bing-Davis Art Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
