Betancourt named VP of International Programs
Ismael Betancourt has been named vice president of international programs at UIU. He joins the University on August 13. Formerly, he was executive director of international education at Xavier University, Cincinnati. His prior experience includes being in charge of the education abroad program at Northern Arizona University. He had progressive responsibility in his roles at Saint Louis University, where he was a study abroad coordinator, and assistant director and director of the Office of International Studies. Betancourt earned his executive master's in international business and his bachelor's degree in business administration at Saint Louis. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in higher education administration, which he expects to complete in December 2012.
