Two Centers turn 20
UIU's Milwaukee and Fort Riley centers will celebrate their 20th anniversaries this year. Both centers opened in 1992.
The Milwaukee Center serves more than 460 students. It is one of four UIU centers in the area that also includes Elkhorn, Burlington and Racine. Many of the courses are taught by full-time UIU faculty members and others are taught by adjunct faculty who draw on their practical experiences in the field.
The Upper Iowa Center at Fort Riley, Kan., offers classes on post to both military personnel and civilians in the area. It offers bachelor's of science degree in 11 majors. Courses can also be blended with UIU distance learning programs (online and independent study) to complete nine other majors. Certificate programs are also available. UIU offers courses on post during five eight-week terms during the academic year.
