
Recreation and Wellness
The Office of Recreation and Wellness Services at Upper Iowa University is a resource center providing a wide range of services students, faculty, and staff. The Director of Recreation & Wellness provides workshops, courses and discussion groups on campus focusing on topics such as:
- eating disorders
- sexually transmitted disease
- AIDS
- alcohol and drugs
- sexual violence
- nutrition
- wellness
- stress reduction
They also meet with individual students regarding health and wellness topics and is available for consultation. Educational resource materials such as videos, audio cassettes, books, and informational handouts on a variety of health related topics are available to students.
An additional service provided by Recreation & Wellness Education is bringing nationally recognized speakers to campus to speak on issues such as alcohol abuse, eating disorders, rape, wellness, optimum performance, etc.
