Professor Clark received his B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Wood Technology and an M.B.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Professor Clark teaches classes in marketing and occasionally in management. Prior to beginning his academic career, Professor Clark worked in retailing and in the wood products industry.
In addition to his teaching, academic advising, and committee responsibilities at UIU, he advises the local chapter of Alpha Chi, a national academic honor society. In his spare time Professor Clark enjoys residential architectural design, travel, skiing, canoeing, and kayaking the many fine rivers and lakes in Iowa and surrounding states.
Dr. Mohammad Farooq received his education in economics from the following institutions: B.S.S. from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, B.S. from Troy State University, M.A. from the University of Central Florida, and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
At Upper Iowa University Dr. Farooq teaches courses in macro- and microeconomics, corporate financial management, money and banking, and investments.
Before beginning his teaching career, Dr. Farooq was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. He is active in research and has published in several refereed journals. He maintains a robust personal website on Genocide 1971 (Bangladesh) and Nazrul, the Rebel Poet. He is also a frequently-sought public speaker in his academic fields and on the subject of Islam and Muslim culture.
Professor Isvik received her B.S. in Horticulture from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with concentrations in accounting, operations management, and finance.
At UIU, Professor Isvik teaches classes in information systems (including computer applications), accounting, and management. Prior to joining the UIU faculty, she spent over ten years working in accounting, consulting, and marketing positions at corporations in St. Louis, Missouri and Evansville, Indiana.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Professor Isvik advises the local chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, a student business leadership organization.
Professor Manzoor Murshed received a B.S. (with Honors) in Applied Physics and Electronics and an M.S. in Computer Science from Dhaka University (Bangladesh). He has also earned an M.S. in Computer Engineering and a certificate in Information Assurance from Iowa State University.
Professor Manzoor Murshed has published several papers in his major areas of research, which include Information Assurance, Computer Networks, and Natural Language Processing.
Prior to joining the UIU faculty, he was a member of the Electronics and Computer Science faculty at Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh. At UIU, he teaches Computer and Information Systems-related courses. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as technical advisor to the local chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, a student business leadership organization.
