A Manchester, Iowa-native, Chris joined the Fayette Campus family in 2005 when he was a freshman at Upper Iowa. He studied sports communications, and was heavily involved with the UIU athletic programs as an undergraduate work study student, and eventually, a graduate assistant. During his time as a graduate assistant, he obtained a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Upper Iowa.
Prior to becoming an Admissions Counselor at UIU, Chris was the Sports Information Director at Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa for two years. There he was responsible for the publicity and promotion of all 17 AU athletic programs.
"I am very excited to be returning to Upper Iowa and look forward to helping future Peacocks start their adventure to graduation and the rest of their lives. I was absolutely ecstatic when the opportunity to return to Fayette was offered to me and I can’t wait to share my excitement with others and pass on my passion for Upper Iowa."
Chris has a wide-ranging background in higher education, and along with athletics, spent undergraduate time at UIU as a resident assistant and a SOA (Summer Orientation Assistant). When he's not in the office, Chris enjoys watching sports, throwing the Frisbee for his roommate's dog, Josie, and exploring northeast Iowa.
