Criminal Justice

"After earning my degree in criminal justice at UIU, I become more and more interested in the criminology aspects. I applied for a Shelby County deputy job and am currently sitting at my desk right now writing this. Thank you for making classes interesting and enjoyable for it led me down the path I am on today."

Deputy Neil W. Gross

This will include distinguishing the different stages of the criminal justice process, understanding juvenile justice, the history of the law, the legal process, the roles and responsibilities of personnel employed in various criminal justice professions, and the ethical systems and theories that guide decisions in the criminal justice system. This outcome is accomplished through the successful completion of a combination of the core and elective courses.
