Health & Wellness
Upper Iowa University’s Student Health Offices' mission is to promote health and wellness among students, faculty, and staff. Educating students about all areas of wellness is the main goal of the Student Health Office. This education is done through empowering students with the knowledge and information they need to continue to lead a healthy and active lifestyle for the rest of their lives. In conjunction with a student led Wellness Council, programs include an annual wellness fair, blood drives, and themed monthly programs on every subject from eating disorders, alcohol and drugs, nutrition to sexual health awareness.
An additional service provided by the Student Health Office is bringing nationally recognized speakers to campus to speak on issues such as alcohol abuse, eating disorders, rape, wellness, optimum performance, etc. If you have any ideas or suggestions for speakers, or if you belong to an organization which would like to co-sponsor a presentation on campus, please feel free to stop by the Health Office on the upper level of the Student Center or talk to a Wellness Council member.
