Henderson-Wilder Library supports Upper Iowa University's academic programs by providing a full range of information resources and services.


The new Director of Library Services, Rob Hudson, assumed leadership of the library June 1st, 2016, after Becky Wadian retired as Director after 42 years of service at Upper Iowa University. He joined the library after various leadership roles in academic libraries during the last twelve years. Please feel free to contact Rob Hudson with questions or suggestions about library services.

The Henderson-Wilder Library at Upper Iowa University contains over 94K volumes located on three floors. The building is a unique merger of a 1901 Carnegie library and a 1960s library wing addition creating over 4000 square feet of collection and study space. The Library is also home to the University Archives and many historical items from the Civil War to present.

Additionally, the Library is fully digital with multiple databases for residential and remote learners in UIU centers around the country and across the globe.

The library staff is here to support the students and faculty in all areas of information and learning. We also welcome the public to browse our collections and Archives.
