Mission
The UIU Recreation Center is committed to enriching the University and surrounding communities by providing ample opportunities to foster a physical, social and emotional well-being through the use of its facilities, programs and services.
Regular Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 5:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Spring Break Hours
Facility
Our facility includes: weight machines, free weight area,13 cardiovascular machines (2 curved treadmills, 2 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, 2 upright bikes, 1 recumbent bike, 1 rowing machine & 1 stair climber), group fitness room, elevated walking/running track (9.2 laps/mile), 3 multi-purpose gym courts, lower track (10.2 laps/mile), 2 suspended batting cages, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers. The courts and tracks were resurfaced with MONDO flooring in 2019.
- Court 1: volleyball, badminton, and pickleball
- Courts 2 & 3: basketball, volleyball, and tennis
Membership Rates
We have a variety of Recreation Center memberships. Our most popular memberships are the yearly memberships, though we provide many other options to meet your needs as detailed below. Rec Center memberships include access to the gym, track and fitness center. Track memberships only allow access to the track area.

Locker Rental
Lockers are available for rent for the calendar year. A lock may be provided by the individual or by the Rec Center.
