Upper Iowa University hosts U.S. dignitary Margaret Fong
DC Alumni Chapter of UIU welcomes Director-General of Hong Kong Economic and Trade office
WASHINGTON, DC (March 14, 2006) Upper Iowa University (UIU) is proud to welcome Margaret Fong, Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in DC to speak during UIU’s annual alumni chapter luncheon scheduled for March 19, 2006 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Upper Iowa University has an international educational center in Hong Kong and has invited Miss Fong to share her views on Hong Kong and its educational system. According to Upper Iowa University President Dr. Alan Walker, “UIU has been engaged in providing international education in Hong Kong for the last seven years and is honored to contribute to the future of higher education in the region.”
As Director-General, Miss Fong is responsible for U.S.-Hong Kong bilateral trade relations, relations with the U.S. administration and Congress, prominent think-tanks, and U.S. industries.
The luncheon will be held at the The Grill Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton, and the public is welcome to attend. Cost of the luncheon is $37.00 for the general public and complimentary for Upper Iowa University alumni.
