Fayette, Iowa (March 21, 2006) -- Sixteen Upper Iowa University (UIU) psychology students attended the 26th annual meeting of the Great Plains Students' Psychology Convention held at Central Missouri State University. The two-day event, March 17-18, 2006, allowed students to present their research and ideas regarding various topics in psychology.
Four UIU students walked away with awards: Laurence Van Dusen received a first-place award for his presentation of “Personal Choice Model Regarding Mental Health,” while Amanda Luker, Sherry Gale, and Brian Frenzen each received second-place awards for their respective presentations.
Other Upper Iowa students presenting included Lisa Bischoff, Brenda Groth, Christina Johnson, Angie Johnson, Daniel Goodson, Aaron Marr, Rebecca Newman, Austin Dopp, Erin Jamison, Willie Stewman, Kelsey Kapler, and Dana Jordan.
