Fayette, Iowa (July 6, 2006) The Fayette County Community Foundation awarded Upper Iowa University art professor John Siblik with a grant in the amount of $1,196.00 during a formal ceremony at the Fayette Opera House in Fayette, Iowa.
Siblik applied for the funds to start a Saturday art program for children in
“The main objective of this program is to foster the development of a better understanding and appreciation for the visual arts and that these children carry this appreciation with them into the future,” said Siblik. “Just as important, the program will give students an opportunity to express their creative inclinations.”
As more information becomes available, it will be posted on the university Web site at www.uiu.edu.
