Upper Iowa University will host art show of Kay Zivkovich from Southern Illinois University

Fayette (March 16, 2006)— The Upper Iowa Art Department is pleased to present the work of guest artist Kay Zivkovich, Associate Professor and current Assistant Director of the School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Illinois.

Zivkovich’s work has been widely exhibited throughout the Midwest, as well as nationally and internationally and her work is also part of several permanent collections, most recently the Plain Art Museum in Fargo and Pedu Morset Folkehoyskole in Belbustrand, Norway. Among her other accomplishments, Zivkovich is co-founder and Director of the Clay Cup, a national competition and exhibition held at the University Museum bi-annually, and founding board member of TABLESCAPES, an organization that serves to preserve the cultural history of southern Illinois.

The show will be on display at UIU’s Edgar Fine Arts Gallery from March 15 through April 12, 2006.

The Edgar Fine Arts Gallery is located in Room 200, Edgar Fine Arts Hall, near the corner of Clark and Union, on the Upper Iowa University campus in Fayette. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment.
