The Office of Institutional Advancement & Alumni Development is proud to serve the more than 34,000 Peacock alumni. Twice a year, we publish The Bridge magazine and mail to all alumni. We encourage you to send us updates on your career status, exciting milestones in your life, or other exciting news so we may recognize your achievements in our popular “Class Notes.”  Also, add a bookmark to The Bridge Online so you can stay up-to-date with the latest UIU happenings.

Class of '26

Upper Iowa’s oldest living alumna, 11l-year-old Emma Hough was a special guest during the 2015 Homecoming parade. Currently residing in Sumner, Iowa, Hough graduating with a double major in English and biology from UIU in 1926. 

Class of ‘10

Dano Grayson ’10 of Phoenix, Ariz., has successfully utilized his skills as a freelance wildlife/nature photographer since earning his life science degree. Grayson was an Amazon Aid Foundation’s Artist of the Month and National Geographic has featured his works.

Class of '89

Recently retired Brig. Gen. Jennifer Walter was the first female to serve as Iowa Air National Guard brigadier general, Iowa Air National Guard group commander, squadron commander and non-medical colonel.
